Pack Installation Instructions
The
Horizons service pack files for Horizons/Fxp 4.00h are wizard-driven
installers. Simply run the EXE file after downloading to your hard
drive and choose the installation path for your Horizons/Fxp
software. Unless you originally installed Horizons/Fxp into a
non-standard folder you can accept the default service pack
installation path. If you have any questions about this please
contact Caletech support.
For
previous versions of Horizons/Fxp the following instructions should
be followed:
To find out the version
of Horizons/Foundations XP that you are
currently running click on
Info >> About Access Accounts within your Accounts application.
Please check
that the version number matches the service packs you are about to
download (e.g. if you currently have Horizons/Foundations XP version
4.00h then you should only use the download link for a service pack
for version 4.00h.xx, where xx is the number of the service pack). If
your version of accounts does not match the available service packs,
please do not download any of the files and contact us to request an
upgrade.
If your version of
accounts matches the Service Pack download link name, then click on
the appropriate link above and choose to download the Service Pack
installer to your hard disk. You should save the file into a
location you will be able to find easily (e.g. Desktop, My Documents
etc). After saving the selected file to your hard
disk, locate it using the Windows Explorer and then double click the .EXE file
to begin the local installation process for the patch(es) proper.
You will need to install the service pack files into the 'Service'
folder within your main Horizons/Foundations XP application folder
on your hard disk.
If you are not sure of the location of this folder, click
Info>>About Access Accounts within your Accounts application, then
click the 'System' tab and note the location of the program. The
'Service' folder will be within the folder listed before the 'Access.LBR'
file'
After installing the service pack into the Service folder, log into
your accounts application as a master user and you should see a
message on-screen stating that a service pack is about to be
applied. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
